I made this for my favorite bitchy blog Adobe UI Gripes.  The layer styles in Photoshop give you awesome effects.  I use them almost every minute of the day.  But I’m constantly confused about whats going to go over something else. The whole point of the layers panel is to be able to look at your document in a different way, seeing what layers are going to occlude other layers.  However layer styles show up in the UI in a different order than they are rendered in.  I’m not sure if theres a technical reason why they show up in this order, but its irrelevant to the fact that its wrong, and breaks the paradigm of the layers panel.  Why not let me resort them?  Add more than one instant of an effect? Change the defaults for the effects?
